I am Lt Cdr Muhammad Asad Qureshi (R), CEO and Co-Founder of PIFFERS Security Services (Pvt) Ltd. I am a submariner with passable experience of over two decades in the Pakistan Navy. During my career I graduated from Pakistan Naval Engineering College with majors in Control Engineering, Radio Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Nuclear Physics, Metallurgy and Electronics, and obtained the degree of B.Sc (Hons) from Karachi University.

I was selected for Plymouth, UK to complete sea training with practical training on Blind Pilotage, Acoustics, Firefighting and Damage Control, Environmental, Health and Safety aspects, and Engineering and Architectural domains. From 1995 onwards I remained connected with submarine service and managed administrative matters, personnel management, project management, financial management, and operations and engineering domains including AIP (Air Independent Propulsion System), power generation and AC/DC distribution, environmental control, hydraulic and high-pressure air systems, and noise monitoring and vibration analysis.

In official capacity I have travelled almost across the globe. In the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Holland, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Turkey, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Iran, UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, South Africa, Bangladesh, Maldives, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, China and the Philippines I completed several assignments and foreign courses, and gained experience of diplomatic channels and public relations while interacting with high dignitaries and diplomats.

In the year 2000 I became a qualified navigator and a meteorologist with expertise in astronomy and meteorology. As Chief Instructor at the Submarine Training Centre I formulated and promulgated the syllabi and submarine training publications for newly inducted submarines, and was declared one of the Best Instructors of the Pakistan Navy in 2004. I am a graduate of Pakistan Naval War College and obtained a degree from Bahria University in MSc (War Studies). I also completed a foreign course from Turkey. After staff course I was appointed at NHQ in the Ops Directorate. In 2006 I was appointed at National Defense University, ensuring training management and coordination for the highest-ranking course of Pakistan.

After premature retirement in 2009 I completed an MBA in HR Management. I am also the author of articles related to Blue Economy Potential and Prospects for Pakistan. From 2010 till 2012 I served as Head of Security for Gerry's / FedEx at Islamabad, looking after the security paradigm of 17 embassies' visa processing affairs including the UK, Australia, Malaysia, Canada and Schengen countries. I formulated the Security Manual of Gerry's in the light of Schedule IV (Security Protocols Guidelines) of UKBA, which is still taken as a benchmark on security. In parallel we established PIFFERS Security Services (Pvt.) Ltd, which is now operating nationwide.

I was part of Standing Committees on Security of the Islamabad Chamber and FPCCI in 2019. Currently I am serving as Senior Vice Chairman of APSAA (All Pakistan Security Agencies Association).
